Sparrow has been training with the Team Exile5 academy for the past month. In this short time he's shown significant improvement and a great positive attitude. So it's with great pleasure that we make it official and welcome Sparrow to the Academy. And of course, it wouldn't be truly official unless we put him through a quick Q&A.
Q: So who are you:
Hello! I’m Sparrow a.k.a wotcha. I’m a 23 year old Terran player from Wellington, New Zealand.
Q: What's your background in Starcraft
I discovered Starcraft about 3 years ago, I was one of those guys who played a lot of Warcraft 3 so when my friend suggested the game to me I couldn’t wait to jump right in. I’ve always loved blizzard campaigns and Starcraft 2 was no exception, however it wasn’t long before I found myself discovering the joys of laddering.
Q: What else do you do?
I have a bachelors degree in design innovation majoring in media design, which means I do pretty much anything media related, make videos, graphic design, 3d animation, games etc anything pretty you can make using a computer. At the moment I’m an indie game developer working on a few games. I also started a game design company with a few friends called One Legged Crab, we were at PAX for anyone that went.
Q: What do you go great?
I’m great at being humble.
(KS: good answer )
Q: What's your most memorable moment in SC2
The Innovation vs Supernova super ace match in the gstl was an absolute nail biter, I’ve loved Innovation ever since .
Q: What are your goals
My main goal is to destroy the SEA zergs in tournaments especially Pig, Mightykiwi and Petraeus. My sub goal is to get GM on North America.
(KS: congrats on hitting NA GM last week)
Q: Tell us something that no one knows about you
I’m Batman.
(KS: I'm the Joker)
Q: Is there anything else that you would like to add?
Thank you Exile5 for this opportunity, I won’t disappoint
