If you tuned in to the SEASPORTS SEAFIGHT with Silicon Sports and Frenetic Array on Monday night, you would have noticed and seen that Team Silicon Sports has a new member in it’s StarCraft 2 roster. Yang ‘ARze’ Wong joins [SLCN] after stellar performances in the Silicon Sports Academy and also at ACL Melbourne recently.

“I am very happy to have been promoted into the main team for Silicon Sports! The Academy has been a great experience, and I felt that the support from the SLCN team is very strong. They are always willing to lend a hand to the Academy players. We had practised together in preparation for ACL which , despite losing some close games, helped make it a success for me. The guys in SLCN are one if the nicest people in e-sports and I couldn’t ask for more. I look forward to working together with the team to achieve better success in the future!”
This rounds out a full roster for us now with two Zerg, two Protoss and one TErran player in our lineup. As mentioned we tested our mettle against prolly the best StarCraft 2 team in Australia & New Zealand last Monday and we took it up to them, almost forcing a tiebreaker in the best of nine series. VODs of the series will be available on our Youtube channel soon.
It’s great to see our Academy program working. A massive thanks needs to be given to CautioN and Petrify and the rest of the SLCN team working and training the Academy players. We will be looking at opening the Academy again soon for applications now that ARze has been promoted and Rainman has decided to concentrate on his studies. So keep a look out for news on that at a later date.
Keep in touch with us by following us on Twitter and liking us on Facebook both at /SiliconSports. You can also join our in game community group as well, so be sure to hang out with us in the ‘Silicon Sports’ group channel and also on google+, and join our Steam Group as well!
I remember getting mad after losing to you in one of the ACL Online Rounds, but then we had a chat afterwards and you showed you were a super nice guy. I still remember you messaging me your results for the rest of the tourny, including your surprise at beating delete (told you that you could do it! ) This is a very well deserved promotion. I know you'll get NA GM soon and then hopefully prove yourself for real at an event soon!

I watched your game vs KingkOng at ACL.. Saw loads of potential. You were definately one of the stand-out 'new competitors' I saw at ACL Melbourne. Keep it up!
