Well guys Season 2 has finally come round and I have extremely happy to announce the sponsorship of one of New Zealands leading ISP's Orcon!
Orcon is a great company to show such support and compassion for this amazing community and having been so generous in sponsoring this Season of the NZ Starcraft Cup and they are really showcasing how far eSports is coming and developing in the last few months to show such support. The NZ Starcraft Cup Team is really looking forward with them now and in the future to further promote and develop eSports in New Zealand.
Now onto what I am sure all of you guys have been waiting for:
New Zealand StarCraft Cup: Season 2
Prize's so generously sponsored by our Partner Orcon:
First Place: A whole years of Internet provided by Orcon
Second Place: A $200 Orcon Voucher
Third Place: A $100 Orcon Voucher
When and Where will this tournament take place:
After what success we had with Season 1 of the NZ Starcraft Cup, we are going to keep the format the same as before over the course of 4-6 weeks taking place every Friday night.
When and Where:
The official kick off to this tournament will start:
Friday 9th of March: 9.30pm NZDT:
So turn up guys in the "NZ Cup" Channel at least 15 minutes before the games kick off just so we can get a good idea of what matches are to be played.
As some of you guys may not of heard, but our NZ StarCraft Cup Official Caster the amazing Mr.Flamga is heading over to England for a month in March. So we wish him all the best and hopefully he will bring back Spartaz all the English Football Kits .
We would like to welcome "System" to the NZ Cup Team: Who shall be with us over the course of this Season of the NZ StarCraft Cup (:
Once I have sorted out the groups. I will announce the confirmed groups for the Tournament on Febuary 24th.
Tournament Format:
32 Player Tournament:
Starting off from the Group Stages where there will be 4 players per group and in those 8 groups 2 players will advance to the next round (Round 1)
Round 2: This will be a Bo3 series of games with 8 matches being played and those 8 who win their series will advance to the Quater Finals
Quater Finals (Round 3) will be a Bo5 Series:
Semi Final (Round 4) will be played in a Bo7 Series
Finally the Grand Finals of Season 2 of the New Zealand StarCraft Cup to take out the Title and the "Years worth of Internet provided by our amazing Sponsor Orcon!" will be played out in a Bo9 Series to determine who is the best in New Zealand and to take out the title!
Group Stage:
So to make a completely re shape from Season 1's group stages, which were a bit confusing I do admit.
In each division/group each player will have a respective number and so that number will determine which player you will be playing next and each player from every group will play each player in their groups once. For example:
Game 1: Map "GSL Dual sight"
Player 1 vs Player 2 (Game 1)
Player 3 vs Player 4 (Game 1)
Game 2: Map "GSL Antiga Shipyard"
Player 1. vs Player 3. (Game 2)
Player 2. vs Player 4. (Game 2)
Game 3: Map: "Cloud Kingdom LE"
Player 1. vs Player 4. (Game 3)
Player 2. vs Player 3. (Game 3)
(To be played Sunday between 4pm and 5pm NZDT. nRvSIDX subbed in for irisFlaunt, hopefully hes doing well away from SC2 for awhile (Flaunt) great guy!

What else can we do to help this eSports Revolution?
Just thought I'd leave you with this question just to get you guys thinking, I mean what else can we do to support eSports in NZ. If you guys have any thoughts or ideas or want to contribute to this cause feel free to email me. Also Donations would be greatly appreciated so we can further develop the tournament.
With Orcon joining the team, they really have taken a great leap in bringing together this amazing community of eSports that we have here in New Zealand and for that, I really respect and admire all the guys at Orcon for supporting us and supporting the growing trend of New Zealand eSports and its our time to show Orcon that they were right to put their faith in us.
Well thats me for now guys, if theres any questions or anything just PM me. Im usually around somewhere, now for me to go have a sleep or play Starcraft.
Alright Cheers for now guys. I have a lot of editing to do and the official banners will be up in the next few days (:

I keep forgetting about the time zones mate!!!! Cheers for the info and the map pool will remain as what I chosen (: it will make an entertaining contest for sure. Which is what we want to show the community. Thanks for the feedback though
Note: I will consider making a change to that map, depending on the competition. Still changes to be made.
