Hello guys my name is Aj and I am from Perth, Western Australia. I am 29yo and currently studying a BSc in Geophysics at Curtin University when I am not playing Starcraft 2 or Call of Duty BO.
I used to play Protoss in SCBW and now in SC2. I currently rank 4 in Bronze League and I am on my way up very slowly. 167 wins/186 losses. I constantly watch Teamliquid Streams (probably a bit too much) and enjoy Day9's streams also. I still have much to learn and would love to here any feedback from anybody about the many things I seem to be doing wrong. My biggest letdown in SC2 is the fact I struggle with Hotkey usage, so if you have any pointers please help.
Please add me for some games as I am extremely friendly person (although I sometimes curse at myself) as I really enjoy playing SC2 with others. I also have my own Teamspeak 3 server which I encourage everyone to join just for a chat or to play some games together.
Well I just joined the site and am typing this at 5am after several hours playing, which goes to show I'm somewhat addicted to SC2 :P
I've never been much of a PC gamer, let alone an RTS gamer (never ever played or even witnessed sc1 in action, despite my age - 23), however that all changed a few months before sc2 was released, when I was introduced to a Lord of the rings RTS, Battle for middle earth 2. When SC2 came out I just couldn't resist the chance to flaunt my recently acquired RTS epeen online, which I had grown from getting good at that game on LAN :P (well, I made two mistakes there 1. I was pretty bad at the game, and 2. I thought the skills would transfer over D: ). So after playing sc2 for a couple of weeks on trial passes, getting placed in bronze every time, i got placed in bronze again in my very own account! Yay -_- Looking back I was the most nooby of the noob. Oh how I wish I had a BW/WC3 background >.<
I'm now a mere gold pleb after about 200 matches, however I rarely ladder 1v1 anymore. Pretty much just do customs, and think (or hope....) judging by those matches, that I'm diamond level. Just cant be bothered going through the pain of getting there yet on the ladder >.<
I'm plat in 2's and 3's, always enjoy a good team match, especially when ppl are down to try goofy strats or just muck around.
Sooo anyway I'm just stoked there's an awesome SEA community like this and hopefully I'll meet some cool people here and grow as a sc2 gamer. I'm on TL often but this seems to be a better place to meet and chat with fellow SEAers.
Btw don't take the epeen thing seriously >_>
Edit: whoah ook, didnt realise that post was so long. I think two gold stars are in order if you read all of this :P

I'm Hugo and i'm from Malaysia. College student. 21 years old. I just started SC2 like 2 days ago although i've played a couple of casual BW and WC3 games with my friends. So i'm an uber noob Zerg in Bronze league trying to figure out how to micro with blings and infestors. I am VERY horrible in them, like seriously my blings go for mechs or sometimes just gets juked by marines. Which is why most of my games against terrans who go mass marines end up being losses. ): I'm currently 5 win 5 losses on 1v1 ladder.
My macro is not that good at all as i almost always end up with 1.5K minerals in late game. D: So i'm currently playing 4v4 instead of 1v1 with random race to improve my macro and also to familiarize myself with Terran and Protoss builds. I think i've improved? Since i check my score after games and my average unspent mineral has dropped down to around 450+ instead of 2k++. xD Also thought about joining the tournament today but then i would've gotten my ass whooped. xD So maybe i'll join the next one after i've trained myself. :P
If anyone wants to play a 1v1 practice match against me that would be great. Macro games preferred. =P Battle.net ID is iMega.244
syc.219 silver but used to be gold, i hope to reach the higher ranks and get better skills eventually i hope i get help and play against the masters to be 1 myself. i believe in playing against the best and losing to the best to be better, if not the best
My name is Thurein from Burma. I'm like a Grandpa in starcraft years. I'm 29 years old now. Just play cos I love starcraft and I suck at it. I came here after watching JimDiddy and KingJesse game. I hope I can still beat Bronze league guys after 2 or 3 years.
Alot is not a word, you have to write a lot as two separate words, please fix this so that other new members don't have to see the English language butchered twice to get to this forum, sincerely - The grammar Nazi

I'm playing random at the moment but my main race is Zerg, fav unit is the Overlord.
also I just found out zerglings do fly with there wings & it's cute when they do ...
It didn't seem right to join a tornament (BSG of course without atleast posting something and an introduction seemed as good as any.
I've been playing SC&BW since '98, but only ever with friends, never on battle.net only on LAN or even modem (gasp!). Up until the release of SC2 I had no idea how big SC/BW had become or how elite the pro-gamers were.
So, I'm enjoying playing SC2. I thought the campaign was awesome and playing on battle.net has been great and a little scary at times (see my 3v3 and 4.4 win/loss record - lol!). I'm a middle level Silver player trying to improve as time allows. Hopefully BSG tonight will be fun, even though I expect to be eliminated 1st round
I'm a 20 year old student from Brisbane, Australia studying a dual degree in Senior Education and Science majoring in Physics and minoring in Computer Science (which will become my two teaching areas).
If you just watched Day9 #259 you will know that what Day9 really loves in a person is when they are hugely interested and passionate about something. Well, there are a few things that I am really into and I would like to share them with you. Education, Physics and Starcraft 2.
I volunteer at a nearby High school where I teach English as a Second Language to senior students, basic maths to 8-10 students also in the English as a Second Language program as well as working 1-on-1 with some students to work on basic reading and writing. I also help run the Education society at my university. I have been volunteering in schools since I was in grade 10. I love talking about Education and the Education System with people which lead me to join a forum called Australian Opinion which I have been a member of for some time and now and help to run as the moderator.
As for Starcraft 2, I purchased it in December last year as a congratulatory gift for myself for getting 100% for both of my prac-reports and a 7 for the final exam in second year quantum physics, I thought I deserved a little something. This was my first RTS game (unless you count playing the original star-craft on the n64) so of course, I ended up in Bronze League. I fell in love with the game but not just playing it, learning about it. My thirst to learn more and more about the game lead me to discover Team Liquid (Of which I am also a member), Day9, State of the Game, GOMtv and so on. All of this was awesome, really awesome, I can't believe how passionate I have become about a game in such little time. I play it, I watch it, I read it, I study It, I talk about it, I listen to it... but I still felt like I was just observing the community rather than really participating, yes I post on TL but I dunno... that just wasn't enough for me, didn't quench the thirst I have to really be a part of this amazing game and the people who not only play it, but love it.
So my journey has lead me here. Hopefully participating in this community with it's forum, players and tournaments will really give me what I'm looking for, and hopefully I can give just as much back.
As for my Starcraft 2 performance: I'm currently in Gold for 1v1 but getting matched against high platinum players (and my first diamond the other day *gasp*) so I smell a promotion coming along. Platinum for everything else
Looking forward to getting to know everyone, Crankenstein.
