As a follow-up question - does anyone manually detonate their banelings? Do people use attack move or stop to detonate banelings when they need to be detonated?
Cheers.

Place the palm of your hand (metacarpals) on the back of the mouse. Using your Thumb and Ring, and pinky finger - grip the sides of the mouse. Your index and middle finger should form an arch. You are know in... CLAW GRIP MODEZ.
ATTRIBUTE---------PALM GRIP---------CLAW GRIP
AGILITY---------------6/10---------------9/10
DEXTERITY------------5/10---------------10/10
TACTILITY---------------5.. nah idk how this one works but yeah.
RESPONSE TIME------7/10-----------------9/10
At this point in time you should feel like a champion because you now have an advantage over all them palm gripparz.
The receptors in your epidermis of your hand and the rods and cones in the retina of your eyes should now be all activated. From here on out, you will send sensory neurons to the brain constantly in order to win ling bling warz!. In the event you spot a single bane coming, select all your lings and move them backwards. Then select a single ling to focus fire it down! Slowly push towards his base, repeating the steps if banelings come at you! If he just 1a's all his lings and blings into you, attack his lings with your lings until his banes are near and then move back, and maybe try to get a baneling of your own detonated on his army!
nahreally i dont know. ling bling wars seems pretty straight forward - cant help you here .

I sometimes manually detonate them, usually vs drones to get the best hit. Most of the time I move command them to avoid self detonating and attackmove when I feel like it doesnt matter what they hit.
To answer topic tho, have lings and banelings in seperate groups, dont run around with your lings and banelings if you dont have vision somewhere, if so send seperate lings. If your not confident in your micro, try to keep all the banelings seperate from each others, and send them 2 and 2 into the main of your opponent ( dont attack move them, move command). The best way of attacking banelings with lings is to attackmove your whole army with lings and then shift click out the ling. Its really easy but I guess it might take some practice ( All though this is suicide if your ping is terrible)
And if its 1 base, try to place your spawning pool so that it blocks his entrance to your drone line, its best if you can block with your queen, then the AI of the banelings will go nuts and will try to walk through the queen..
If its 2 base, try to get out 2 queens, put a spine crawler strategically, it should cover the ramp and the hatch but it should also not be too close to the queens that are blocking the ramp. This is to avoid banelings detonating the spine and taking a lot of hp from the queens.
if it comes to ling/bane wars (in my games) i usually retreat and use banes defensively and get a few spines up and tech to roach and evo +1 range atk.
mass roach always wins, just make sure you mass roaches, and move them in a box where theres little space in between to prevent surround.
