Global Gamers Invitational: It's down to the round of 8!
* Gogo Sen! I hope he's gotten enough international practice to successfully win a big tourny like this!
* I wanted to see DayFly and TheWind make it far in the main tourny =(
* Sadly Capoch will probably lose, but I hope he takes down that IdrA kid ;D
Major League Gaming: Just recently finished it's first Starcraft 2 season!
* Yeah I knew it was going to be IdrA SeleCT and HuK in the top 3, then KiwiKaKi getting up there too is expected as well.
* Well... MLG is very big in the United States, but I was surprised that there were Euros in there as well! It seems with a bit more money it might be able to compete with GSL in terms of being a top notch SC2 competition.
* Hmm I'm not too big on the NA scene, but I'd have to say probably IdrA and SeleCT again, but I hope that Capoch guy can make an appearance!
GomTV Starcraft 2 League: Perhaps the most popular Starcraft 2 League.
* Hmm it will be extremely hard for him, but if he plays his cards right, he's still a top nominee for 1st place!
* Hmm I don't think SlayerSBoxeR will really be able to pull off any big results, but I hope he at least makes it to the ro16.
* I would pick PhoenixWeRRa to take it all!! lol..
2010 Blizzcon Invitational: Starting up this Friday, 22-10-2010
* Nah I think Maka and Genius are both top notch but not as consistent as they should be. Every single region has great competitors representing them, so I think everything's going to be pretty well spread out.
* Hmm ice and RedArchon can do some damage if they practice their asses off. They can do some hurting, but it's really going to take a lot from them.
* Well they rushed a lot of things because of how crunched they were for time, but they really did a good job at getting things together. Having a TERRIBLE band as their main musical entertainment is quite an awful decision, but they have good casters, good money, and good players, so they aren't disappointing me ^_^.
Team Liquid.net: An extremely amazing Starcraft Community Website!
* Oh yeah. w/e you wana find, if it's sc2 related, it's on there. Although some things take forever to be updated...
* Ehh I would really just make it more user friendly. Right now random people can go in and make topics so you have a lot of random junk getting thrown in to the mix.
* In terms of Starcraft only coverage, there is no better place than TL.net!
SEA Starcraft 2: Thriving at the moment.
* I think it's doing pretty good. It's sad how little of an international voice SEA carries but within SEA, the community is doing better than I thought it would at this point.
* Hmm that's all up to the players. I definitely think that SEA can make some noise but the players need stay motivated and really give it their all.
* I think SEA needs to go overseas to promote themselves a little more. Hopefully ice and RedArchon do well at BlizzCon!!

Well for one, we don't seem to be keeping up with other communities in terms of quantity played in its purest sense. The players oversees are skyrocketing past 2k ratings leaving most of us trailing behind.
Hard to say, we do have some great players but it's up to them to decide if they want to go out there and bet their plane tickets on winning something big.
Its a lot harder to get higher ratings on SEA because of the fewer players. There is fewer higher ranked players for other high ranked players to win points off. I think it was during the Hwaiting that Glade talked about how difficult it is to get points on SEA.
[*]Is there anything you have an opinion on that wasn't asked?
I'm going to snipe the one question. I don't really follow the International leagues that much, so don't have much to state on the rest.
One thing that I'd love to see would be some sort of Starcraft news recap. I don't have a lot of time, and currently I'm spending it all watching VODs, replays and reading forums (been over a month since I last played). Really keen to get back into playing, but that would leave me with even less time to keep up with events.
If there was a blog/thread/cast/something every few days/week that just gave a quick rundown on what's been happening in the Starcraft world, what big tournies are going, who's winning what; that would be freaking cool. I've tried to get into the TL forums a few times but there is just so much going on (99% of which looks like spam) that there has to be a better way.
Anyway, bit off topic. I'll get back on thread.

Quit my job and spend a few months becoming gosu at SC2. I'd then start a major league to rival GSL in Australia.
Zoomdog, i dont know that a weekly recap would work just because there isnt enough tournaments on SEA. A monthly type thing though could work. Perhaps the past Tournament results thread would be good for you? has a list of the past tournaments with the results and replays/vods where able.
