Big congratulations to player DronesInJail who took out yesterdays GPD Open!
Drones becomes the 2nd ever Fusion Slug to win the GPD and comes close on his recent win of one of the Platinum/Diamond Australian IESF Qualifiers (http://challonge.com/iesfaus6)
goodwork drones What happened in the finals though? I tuned in to the stream and caster announced that your opponent forfeited O:
I didn't see Game 1, but he was playing against my former clanmate LgNPsych (part of Team Cube and clan TCP). Psych was dropping the hell out him, sniping Drone's spire and forcing units. By 15 mins DronesInJail had like 5 drones at his 3rd, due to the relentless aggression. But then Psych spread his army too thin, dropping too much, and the fact that he had been forcing units out of Drones meant that, well...he could use them. Drones attacked Psych and did some pretty decent damage, but from then on Psych continued to drop but this time he was doing no damage and Drones was able to take more bases and get a huge bunch of Broodlords. GG.
Psych then said something about how he had too much respect for DronesInJail to play Game 3 or something. I don't get it but, okay.
Congrats to DronesInJail. He got utterly picked apart early but kept a clear head and capitalized on Psych's mistakes. He's come a long way from being some random Platinum Zerg I beat when I won GPD.

Yep,,, so many times during the games I just wanted to say " **** it" and leave. I never actually faced that much harass in a z v t ever before. Huge props to Psych for the epic games!
