There is a relatively new feature that has been added to www.twitch.tv . Hosting another channel.
What is hosting?
Hosting another channel makes your channel a mirror server for what ever channel you host. The chat channel stays your own, same admin. However your view count, any new subs, follows and ad dollars all go to the contend being shown.
Everything important about my stream goes to someone else why would I want to do this? To keep people watching and enjoying streamed content. Adding viewers to another stream makes all streaming more valuable. Hosting another streamer may help people stick around for the last few adds you want to play before you "close the stream". You can also use it to support team mates or SEA view ship. "Im stopping for the night but you can head over and watch X player" can now become "Here is X player to watch enjoy.". It can also create a stronger community around your own stream as the awesome chat channel you have worked hard to create stays awesome and active well you are not streaming.
How do I activate host mode?
Type /host channelname into your chat. For example, to share the Twitch Weekly show, you would type: /host twitch
