With 2014 coming to an end, over the next few weeks we'll be announcing some updates going into 2015 as well as wrapping up 2014.
Recognising members of the community
A lot of the most active contributors from years gone by have sadly gone inactive. Luckily, many new people have readily taken their place and kept up a steady stream of tournaments and community engagement. For many of these people, recognition has been long overdue. We begin by rectifying this.
So, without further ado, please welcome our new moderators!
Chadmann has been a member of this community for a very long time. Apart from managing Frenetic Array, he also regularly participates in tournaments.
Elusory runs many tournaments in the community including Friday Fun Night and SC2SEA GPDL as well as being a new admin for OSC.
Nemesis who apart from leading one of the most active clans, also took over running the GPD Open and this year introduced the GPD Cup.
In addition, the following users are today being recognised as MVPs.
abstract, who has run the #dedication thread with great dedication.
Alpha, is a leader of mGG and very active in the Queensland scene.
dot, the Eternal Flame who has covered many events with x5.
Hairymuppet, who joined us this year and run a major tournament series with an exciting finals in the new year.
inFeZa, who has observed at many of our local events as well as internationally, and is also producing his documentary on the local scene.
Namakaye, who has helped keep many Liquipedia pages for SEA tournaments up to date.
Philosopher, who has steadily run the SEACraft Weekly this year while actively trying to bring international talent to our tournaments.
rezyn8, who has brought us many Melbourne BarCrafts as well as other projects with Silicon Sports.
Zenabi, who has helped keep many Liquipedia pages for SEA tournaments up to date.
Many of our inactive moderators have also been returned to being MVPs. We thank them for their service in the past and look forward to the day they return.
Call for volunteers
You may have noticed the lack of a news post after Blizzcon and the Legacy of the Void announcement which are now more than a week ago. As usual, this is because we are currently short nil-staffed in the content department.
There are no quotas or required commitments for this role - we are just looking for people to post on StarCraft II news (or even other games!) which they think the community might be interested in. Or, if you would like to create original content such as interviews or articles (such as a preview of the upcoming OSC finals), let us know too!
If you would like to help out, please send a PM to either xpaperclip or Eddie.
Gratz to the new mods an MVP's... Hopefully I can help the site be more active and a nice place to be. Don't plan on using mod powers for evil or at all if I can avoid it.
Need some news writers to step up and make sure there is coverage of our international SEAmates. There have been a few international tournaments lately and its great when there is a thread to follow their progress for our convenience.. A L I V E S I T E!
Pretty unexpected. I've got the Golden name name...first step towards World Domination! Seriously though congrats to Elusory, Nemesis and ChadMann...such a strong mod team!

"and we'll invest more on Bots, as our first Trial bot, the 'NemBotElie' was a huge success, organising tournaments and being part of the Council of mGG. But there are a few bugs in which the bot cannot go past the skill level of a Platinum Protoss." - PaRAnorMaL
Even the smallest donations help keep sc2sea running! All donations go towards helping our site run including our monthly server hosting fees and sc2sea sponsored community tournaments we host. Find out more here.
