[mGG]Mini Update #9 - Yes I'm still calling it Mini.
Hokay! It's been a long time coming. Possibly the most anticipated update that mGG has yet seen.
It's been a pretty good month of SC2 in a number of ways. IPL, NASL, Dreamhack have all kept us watching. But, of course, nothing compares to our own exciting events! mGG's second fully-loaded clanwar - this time with ToR - went down to the wire. After a disappointing start, losing the 2-5, the s came back with a vengeance and a 5-1 win. With the series poised 1-1, the s on both sides were eager to make a triumphant showing. At almost every stage, all 9 of the games were winnable by either person. In the end though, there could be only one victor, and mGG managed to take out the day 5-4, and therefore the series, 2-1. Super GG to our ToR counterparts.
As well, the summer swiss is still continuing, and the next rounds should be up any minute. And you haven't already, check out the Clan Ladder Challenge being put together by Titan and Zeratul. If the amount of talking so far about it is any indication, it should be a good spectacle when implemented.
We've also had a lot of success outside of clan wars
zeratul makes stage 2 qualifiers for IEM Poland and makes the bracket stages of santasmash LAN in Brisbane.
CwnAnnwn qualifies for the Master's Cup after a solid performance at the last GPD of the year.
tioN wins the SiliconSports challenge (BSGP), going 4-0 in the last four games of the night again Nemesis (Semi finalist) and DrGooSe (finalist). VoDs are available: http://www.twitch.tv/siliconsports2/b/347653282
- DrGooSe vs Hayabusa - Semi finals 1:00:00 http://www.twitch.tv/siliconsports/b/347643366
- tioN vs lashdown - RO8 1:48:00
- tioN vs Nemsis - Semi finals 2:07:00
- tioN vs DrGooSe - finals 2:59:00
All three players have now secured entry into the Silicon Sports Cup (D/M/Gm) on the 20th 7 pm AEDT, so be sure to tune in to that one as well.
Spirit has also been playing in the ALSSEA and is currently 2-0 on sets and 4-2 on maps.
Alpha makes it to the semi finals of the Santasmash LAN in Brisbane.
Glazed and Tartarsauce played in the Alienware Pro-Am in singapore. Both made it out of groups in and into brackets and played phenomenally well all weekend, exceeding all reasonable expectations. This can only mean that next we will have to make unreasonable expectations of them.
Probe played in the Melbourne LAN and makes it almost all the way through the lower bracket after going down to Rival in the upper bracket. Also playing in Master's Cup 25, making it to the RO16.
Now I am 100% certain that I am missing some information here. If there are links to VoDs or brackets that you wish to be included here, please post below and I will add them to the OP. Likewise the information on any clan wars that I have missed (VB I think?). As usually, inform me of any changes to the roster that need to be made and I'll put it in for the next round of changes.
I was wondering if u would still call it a mini update :P
well done everyone
