Hey guys, I checked out The Bunker last weekend and it seems to be closed, what other internet cafe's are there local to Brisbane that could host a tournament?
I'll use this thread to advise progress with the to-be tournament.
Elysium is run by Sam Brown - the same guy behind the Bunker. He pretty much kicked off the pro-gaming scene in Australia back before the WCGC. He's always keen to get tournaments going. PM me if you'd like his contact info.
I haven't had a chance to check out Esylium yet, Sam's contact details would be great. The tourney will probably take place no more then three weeks once the venue is sorted.
I might need some helpers who don't work full time. If anyone is keen to volunteer, message me on MSN or mobile: auscyclone_1991@hotmail.com 0459 146 981
Just to clarify, helping wouldn't restrict you from participation in the actual tourney.

Not sure about the south Brisbane one, But they used to have a second store in Indooroopilly, and that was a decent Lan. Lots of computers, space for about 70 + peeps.

Hey Slayar!
I'm glad to see someone with a tournament passion like myself and Solis's. Solis has been wanting to do this for a while now, feel free to PM him and myself if you would appreciate any help in setting up this competition whether it be for scheduling, ideas or advertisement.

Was sent here by me m8 elimzkE. Listen man, if you need any help let me know. If the tournament is only a couple of weeks away, I'll probably be able to get MG and/or Kelly to come down and say hey.
Elysium isn't a massive venue, but the private booths pretty much mean that 10 matches can go on at a time, uninterrupted. They are sound proof too. We could also have the casters outside the booths and omg I just had a nerd-gasm-brain-explosion.
We hook the big TVs up to a spectator camera on the PC, we put the finalists into the soundproof booths, and we cast while everyone that is still there watches. That way we don't lag the server with too many spectators, and the casters get to do there thing as well.
