I have recently been watching Petrify play Hearthstone and since he wont let me have a go, I have decided I need to try and win my own. So here is my interview with Mark “Petrify”.
Lets get started. So ACL Sydney is on today. How come you are not there?
Unfortunately I've recently been quite ill and have a small procedure to prepare for on Monday so I can't travel to Sydney. I'm pretty shattered after spending all year playing in ACL events. I was sitting in a good spot for Sydney too after the first online qualifier.
You have seemed to be favouring Hearthstone over Starcraft on your stream lately. Why is that?
Well finding out I couldn’t play in ACL Sydney, alongside some internet issues really demoralized me. I'm slowly losing all motivation to play the game. Hearthstone is a really good substitute for me to spend my time on but I wish I could be motivated to play Starcraft.
I think if a balance patch came in soon it might re-motivate me but for now I'm having too much fun with Hearthstone. Although I am playing Starcraft when my team needs me to practice
Any intentions to try and get into any up and coming tournament scene for Hearthstone?
Yeah if there are good tournaments. I'm thinking about entering the teamliquid Hearthstone tournament but it's on a 3am on Sunday so I’m not sure if I will. I think I could win if I entered
It's interesting that you say you are waiting for a balance patch. What do you think is unbalanced at the moment? Also which match up makes you want to smash your keyboard the most?
I don't think much is imbalanced at the moment but I think crap Zergs (like me) suck a lot at dealing with widow mines. They're just so damn unforgiving. I think also mothership core is a bit broken, recall especially allows Protoss to do stupid stuff and get away with it.
ZvT makes me want to smash my keyboard the most. Nothing like winning a game and then losing your entire army to 3 units
What would be your remedy for fixing these issues?
Just get rid of recall. Mines... I don't know.
I think they just need to be fixed somehow but not too much.
What originally got you started playing Starcraft?
Well, I was playing HoN quite a lot and I saw my friends linking some LAGTV and I always thought I'd be good at Starcraft because I was a quick typer.
The lure of an individual game was great too.
Have you always been playing as Zerg throughout your Starcraft career? If not then why the change over?
I started as terran and got to diamond then I swapped. I switched to Zerg because I sucked vs them and hadn't really tried playing any other race than terran. Turned out well.
How do you feel about the current eSports scene and what do you see it turning into in the future?
I think the future for e-sports looks great, but unfortunately not for Starcraft. LoL seems to be getting a huge mainstream following which is fantastic. DOTA is also growing larger and larger and The International is almost unrivalled.
I can't really predict where this will go in the future but I hope that it turns into something as big as main stream sports.
Why do you believe that Starcraft isn't as sustainable as other eSports?
think its because with MOBA's people can play with friends so they grow exponentially. Where as starcraft is sort of an elite game that's really hard to learn and you have to do it alone for most of it.
What are you doing outside of Starcraft at the moment?
I'm not really doing anything at the moment because I can't go out much. I'm just playing a whole lot of CS:GO, Dota and Hearthstone.
Have you considered going competitive in CS:GO or Dota?
Nah, I don't like team games competitively because I hate relying on other people - that's why I enjoy Starcraft, if I win or lose it's my fault, nobody elses.
But didn't you recently win a 2v2 tournament?
Still mad I gave that key to Peter?
But yeah I did, that 2v2 tourney was a lot of fun, hut so good, it wasn't really competitive, just for fun.
If you could be any Hearthstone/Starcraft player who would you be and why?
Hmm. Probably Jaedong again, he's so motivated, gets to travel all around the world and does extremely well in every tournament he's entered.
If you have any more questions including; build order preferences, map pools, strategies, ect. Please don't hesitate to ask and I will endeavor to get your questions answered.
Thanks for reading. I hope some of you have enjoyed it ☺

Reason: I decided to edit the post for readability and professionalism. Will try and find more time with Petrify to add more content.
I think if you are making an article that's just text it needs to be a bit more professional. I lost interest very quickly reading this even though I saw pet and was eager to read the article. Also a little work into making this look more attractive would've gone a long way, wall of text is a bit boring.

Thanks for the advise and sorry for the lack of professionalism. I have edited the post to try and make it more readable and I am going to talk with Petrify to get some more serious content put into the post. Sorry for the travesty it was :s
