Just a quick update to reveal all the new pairings for R4 of the Summer Swiss. A big thanks to everyone for playing their games on time this week. We had a little bit of technical issues with Challonge.com's servers going down for most of last week in addition with opponents not being available. We got their in the end however and here are the pairings
After three weeks of tense back and forth fighting for the top spots on the scoreboard a small pack of front runners are leading the pack.
mGGTitan (Rank 1: 3pts)
First up is Titan who is on an impressive 3-0 record heading into the fourth round. It wasn't an easy road for him playing some of higher tier mGG players. Round 1 saw Titan up against Nemesis who's unconventional, but oh so sexy, DT play often catches players off guard. Titan took that round 2-0. Then in rounds 2 and 3 he had two very close series with tiger and our very own IEM qualifier winner Zeratul.
Moving into the next round Titan is possibly facing his toughest challenge yet as he faces up against fellow front runner and Fender. This will possibly be the greatest TvT to be played in the history of mGG and I look forward to watching it. If I had to pick a winner my bet goes with Titan. His performance lately has been amazing while it will be a very very close game I think Titan goes into this with a slight edge. Prediction: Titan 2-1
mGGFender(Rank 2: 2.5pts)
Yes that is right, with only two weeks left of play the top two ranked players will be facing it off in an epic TvT Bo3. Fender came back after an unfortunate miscommunication in round 1 which resulted in that week being drawn out. He came back strong with a 2-0 victory over the mGGStealth in week 2 and a 2-0 win over Glazed. With such strong performances by both players it is extremely hard to pick a winner between Titan and Fender. As I said before though I have to give the slight advantage to Titan heading into this but with the skill level being so close between them I could very easilly be proven wrong. Prediction: Titan 2-1
mGGSouth (Rank 3: 2.5pts)
South had a similar run to Fender where an unfortunate early draw by miscommunication lead in round 2 hurt his ranking. Thankfully he already had a strong 2-0 win over mGGbenelings in round 1. Moving into round 3 he was up against the mGGNihc. South won that convincingly 2-0. With a strong PvP record under his belt South goes up against mGGZeratul. This will be South's toughest opponent yet with Zeratul coming off an impressive 1st place victory at the IEM Poland SEA Qualifiers. As for who will win this epic PvP I have to go with South in this. Not only is he but he is also a very, very strong PvP expert. Prediction: South 2-0
