Hello SEA!
So, we've all been there. Many among us have BMed, and I'm sure at some stage we've all been BMed. Tonight I experienced a very funny BM from a bronze league player. Lost to me at 2vs, then challenged me to 1vs, then lost horribly. He then persisted with his BM explaining to me how 3 gate expo was for noobs, and that I obviously sucked. I refrained from explaining that 1 base zerg play at 13 minutes in is not exactly the best way to go, and simply left.
What I want to know, is what do people get out of such heavy BM? I mean, a little BM can be funny, but there is a limit.
So share below! All your BM experiences, whether they be funny, sad, stupid, kinky, or just plain weird.
We will uncover the mystery of BM!
on SEA everyone is really nice to me for some reason but when i played on NA months ago and was cheesing my way up the ladder i got abused heavily like nearly every game. even in beta i rmb nadagast catz and NTT and others bming after they lost
so yea i do think SEA is alot less vocal compared to NA in whining/bming at least
I think its hilarious when your opponent wins and then does BM.
I once went vs a terran that won with banshees (Not dGun) who promptly after the ladder game told me that a fast expo was a bad idea. Im a zerg player. Not going for fast expos can usually be worse.
There are some times when I want to burst out at protoss or terrans for doing allins that kill me instantly, just like Idra. Unfortunately, Im not original enough to ask them to apologize for playing that race.
I think I saw a thread like this on TL, some players are more funny than BM.
I've barely run into any BM players, though I've been called a cheeser (with various colourful adjectives tacked onto the front) for opening roaches in zvz a few times =/
Idra " I wonder what this game would be like if protoss units cost money."
Idra is boss.
If i win against someone who tried to cheese me i abuse them to hell, i never used to bother but i have just gotten sick of them, i had 3 cretins in a row try to 6 pool me then an asshole who tried to Marauder+SCV rush me.
Oh BTW check oh this channel. It's a channel which does low-mid level SC2 commentaries. Does point out the common mistakes low levels playerss make so i think it's a pretty good channel for bronze/silver/gold players to learn and improve do subcribe and support them!
I'm always tempted to BM when my mothership build works, because it's just that dumb, but, I can never bring myself to do it. The worst I do is a GG noobs / ragequit.
Unfortunately BM is in every single online game there is; and it's been around since games were played online. However I think people give it more credit in a game like SCII where manners and good sportsmanship are meant to be common.
That said, I've never once been a BM player; I begin each and every game with a "GL. HF" and if I lose a game, for whatever possible reason, I lost it based off my own actions (or, lack thereof) and should watch the replay to better myself and leave with a "GG. WP". Although a lot of other players don't share that same mentality, which is why you see a bunch of "X is UP", "Y is OP" and "Nerf X, Y, Z" threads on the battle.net SCII forum.
That said, I played 16 games yesterday and encountered BM players in about 15 of them; in those games, I just shut my mouth and played my best. In one game though, I came across one person who was actually nice and had a quick chat in the early-game where there's not much else to do; added him to friends because it's seemingly becoming harder and harder to find decent people in the SEA/ANZ region.
I am generally quite polite when I play sc2 but I do tend to rage a bit at times. Last night I was tired and was playing my last game of the night. Some guy tried to all-in cheese me and after he lost started asking me for tips. I obviously abused the fk out of him.
