yeah, the voice acting is a little suspect. but i wouldn't be so quick to shut it down. in roosterteeth i trust!
The voice acting sucks complete balls. In both yellow and black. I have no idea at all who rooster teeth are, so I remain incredibly sceptical.

ooh... that sounds cool. Never got around to watching appleseed, but it looked cool. What kind of stuff do you normally like?
i think i have to agree with erasmus. this anime has been overhyped... and quite predictable. although i guess they were never really subtle about things to begin with.

I suppose you've got some element of truth there :/ When I started watching it, it wasn't as hyped up, since it was less well known, but it sort of exploded I guess, creating expectations for it way over it's capabilities :c
You should watch Mirai Nikki, if you haven't yet. If you've watched it, you should read the ending of the manga as well (since they were slightly different) :3
Also, is there a Video Game thread, similar to this Anime thread? :3 I mean, just for discussing miscellaneous video games without having to dedicate an entire thread to a single game? :P

Pinion became an egotistical maniac, Amy misses Ledo and Kugel lives!~
So Kugel was intending to throw his life away in ep 1 to slow down the hideauze, we know Ledo& Chamber made it to the wormhole-machine (kinda, then lost their grip) - so did kugel make it to the wormhole too? shouldnt there have been Hideauze all over him?
By the looks of the humans & the imagery given it seems he took the "I'm a god from space" route instead of befriending the earthlings like Ledo did.
Also looking at ep1, the galactic alliance seems quite boned- wonder if it'll pop up later? Maybe they'll return to earth?
Theres also a few other things im curious about- The hideauze are all about evolving, so would the giant space-cannon (Blossom flower or whatever) be 1 single hideauze? (AKA 1 hyper-evolved human being?) its tough to even see the earth hideauze and the space ones as being similar past the tentacles.
Chamber is also preaching about kill or be killed, did he forget about "Co existence and Co-prosperity"?
i have no idea anymore, but this show is impressing me.
ARMIN MANNED UP.
& this Pixis fellow rules, bonus points for that lifelong dream of being eaten by a hot lady~
Who else is watching railgun btw?
Currently watching Idolm@ster too. its kinda just mindless & fun which is nice after a nights work. .I'm gonna dig into Monogatari after i finish it ~ what order should i watch that in?
Edit- i just realised i've never given out my crunchyroll guest passes, i've got 3 that arent expired if someone wants one. OH AND CHUUNIBYOU MOVIE YES.

Agreed. Pinion's definitely lost it. I expect to see a major confrontation in the coming eps. I guess its possible that Comm Kugel got tossed in as well and the Hideauze that were all over him have formed a nest, further evolving the Earth Hideauze leading up to an all out battle royal.
And why am I not surprised somewhere along the line that someone decided to take the religious fanatical route? Though, was so not expecting it to Comm Kugel (and seeing another Machine Calibre that's for sure!)
Oh, not going to be surprised to hear the Galactic Alliance is all boned and gone
Wasn't the Blossom thing a big collection of Hideauze? It took a massive shot and was able to 'regen/fix' itself pretty quick. Its possible for it to be like a Titan from Shingeki no Kyojin...thus making it one huge Hideauze. But space and all the lovely radiation (and other things we don't know about!) can do very strange things to all things biological D:
Is it possible that Chamber's just spewing more Galactic Alliance propaganda to pacify Ledo's sudden realisation that fighting the Hideauze is like fighting humans? Its probably for when a GA soldier loses it and says he/she refuses to fight cause they don't see the point in it or something. Idk.
Too good. I like how its following so true to the manga. If the show gets a second season, hohoho...too good.
SPOILERS(?):: And Shingeki no Kyojin is one of those few mangas and animes I truly appreciate cause it builds its characters. No character is sidelined unless killed or not required in that particular arc. Glad to have found it before it was so big
I'm watching the first season of Railgun :3
And yes, Idolm@ster!!! Mikiii!!!
Good luck with Monogatari Bakemonogatari should be where you start then to Nisenmonogatari. There's Monogatari Series Second Season planned and best part its to be aired this July! And oh, oh the film! Essentially, follow the pic dekay'd posted

Proud to be Nunquam redono, nunquam deditionem
So i just saw that for those in Australia (Not sure about NZ or other parts of SEA though)
that ABC3 will be airing Madoka Magica starting 29th of June, Saturday 8.40 (I'd presume it's Eastern time)
Just figured i'd throw that out for those intrested. I know i'll be tuning in (Already seen it but who cares, right? )
Yesyesyesyesyesyesyesyesyesyes. A new flag indeed . Oh and did anyone else catch Yui?
So uhh fun shows ending soon - OreGairu, Maou-sama , HenNeko, Yuyushiki & Aiura. /sadness.... i also probably have too much time on my hands lately.
Finished Bakemonogatari
WOW WTF. Good shit son, i should be all caught up by next season. I'm a huge supercell fan so having that ending sort of "come together" in ep 12 was awesome
Oh and for the other guys watching Gargantia ~ Theres a weekly mini (1 min) Webisode on the website called "Petit Gargantia" , worth checking out, its very lighthearted. Link (We're allowed to link right? no "legal" way to view it afaik)
"From the planning stage, we gave this anime the target of packing it with messages meant for youngsters, the demography of late teens and early twenties, who are about to go to the society or have just started to be a society member and are feeling confused. " - from the website.
So this ep was great, ledo is finally making some big decisions - choosing gargantia's way of life over the alliances, there was also some great imagery Here . Was strangely chilling seeing all the elderly/sick being disposed of- do you think striker understood the purpose of those actions in the alliance, or was it just trying to emulate it in the hopes of recreating the alliances "success"?
Theres a few parrallels between the robots autonomous actions and the GA's general way of doing things, in fact theres alot between that ship and how the GA operates, even down to the attack on gargantia (literally launching an attack on a human "nest" because they were told to? sounds familiar...
But then that makes Gargantia seem like a hideauze/evolver sort of faction, yet they value peace & prosperity - is this the case with the hideauze too?
Heavens ladder? any ideas? Seems earthlings still see space as "Heaven" , but they also see the whalesquid as sort of holy creatures.
The build up for Shingeki I suppose was kinda alright, the pacing wasn't too bad compared to the previous two episodes - towards the end it finally felt as it did towards the start of the series. It left me with a little anticipation for the next week which was good.
Susei this week, to put it simply was awesome . The realisation of Ledo when he finally became aware of what was going down with the "Commander" was awesome, it kinda showed some of that relationship development between him and Amy and that last scene SO GOOD
I think Susei has set me up for a good day of study
So i haven't been able to read through 41 pages of this... so i am just going to throw these classics out there and see if anyone felt the same.
Record of Lodoss War (P-P-PARN!!)
Baki The Grappler (my friend made an awesome music video of this to the song poison from GTO)
Slayers (I had a paintball team named Minions of Xellos)
And of course Evangelion/Nadesico.... I feel like an old school anime fan i couldn't get into much of the newer stuff.... i watched Naruto... but i mean i can't have an attention span to a series that starts going 80+ episodes... most tv series do not have that many anymore.
Enjoy!

[11:30 PM] CleighMoores: Were you the guy from Canada?
Alright, I've not watched the last four episodes of Shingeki, however, I've read all of the released manga as of yesterday.
FIRST
ajksdhasjkdhJASDAGSDJAHSDAGSDJHAGDASDJKASH JAhsjkdhasjkDHSA ONLY ONCE A MONTH?! HERACY
alright, now that's off my chest :3
Anyways
I haz theories about Shingeki - note, you may not want to read if you've only watched the Anime, since this stuff will contain info about manga-only content as well.
So,
Guys,
What do you think is in Eren's basement? I've been curious since it first came up T_T
Also
I think
that Eren's dad is also a Titan, but you know how sometimes Titan's don't remember their human memories, and humans don't remember their titan memories? Maybe Eren's dad is the "Monkey" titan, and the fact that he doesn't know what the 3D Maneuver Gear is can be put down to his "Titan-Form" not being able to access information from his "Human-Form."
Thoughts?
Also, I think almost everyone or at least most people can turn into a titan, but some people don't realize they have that power. At least, many people can. Because all of Connie's family and relatives turned into titans, (that wasn't directly said, but it was heavily implied), so I think Connie also has that ability. Now think about all the people from that one squad, who are titans - Eren, Ymir, Annie, Bertholdt, and Reiner. I realize that the 104 Trainee Squad is largely the center of the entire show, but don't you think that it's not a coincidence that we've seen 5, and possibly a 6th with the ability to, turn into a titan?
ARGH DAMNIT EREN GET TO YOUR BASEMENT ALREADYYY

I hated eveangelion. and naruto... :P But I agree though, I watched some bleach years ago, but I just can't handle that kind of thing any more. Fortunately there's plenty of decent anime out there that doesn't run for hundreds of episodes. Higashi no Eden is one of my favourites and only has something like 12 episodes.

I didn't mind Bleach so much; and imo the only long ones that were worth watching every episode for was Dragonball Z and Yu Yu Hakusho.
Pokemon was worth it until Hoenn season, afterwards it just.. I just hated it.
Has anyone watched Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood yet? It's about 63 eps long but trust me it's worth it.

Most series don't have alot of episodes because the anime company's can't afford/want to try a new one, but if you go to a manga site most of those anime's will have chapters still coming out every week, also if you ever want to waste time i seriously suggest naruto, even read it if you can't wait to watch 500 + episodes, there's a reason why there are top 3 manga's and it isn't because they're overrated, they're actually good.
