Doing some research to let you nerds know who is the best.... or at least my thoughts on the top 10.
*Due to recent inactivity Blysk, is not included in the top 10 list
1) Seither - While the top three is super close. Seither is the only one of late to only really lose to the others in the top three.. While 2nd and 3rd have dropped some series vs lesser players. This edge for me gives Seither the 1st spot by a hair over enderr.
2) Enderr - Enderr has always been a very technical player with some incredible decision making ability and counters to wear down his opponent or smash in with a crisp timing for the win. However previously his late game and macro play if his technical play didn't work out had let him down. Not anymore, Enderr has shown some amazing timings with crisp transitions and solid all round play. For this I give him the close 2nd place.
3) iaguz - Gimli has always been a solid threat in the competitive scene. After a period of domination iaguz has started to show some weakness and while he remains a stalwart of the top tier of our competitive scene, he's slipped and dropped a few series verse players he shouldn't.
4) KingkOng - Not much needs to be said... KingkOng is a beast. Has held #1 for a long period of time. However due to his busy studying schedule he seems to have slipped outside of the top 3. However, I wouldn't be suprised to see him take 1st within a month as he has shown the best potential and complete dominance of the competitive scene in the past.
5) Probe - If probe can control his mentality and focus on improving his play, his plateau will quickly turn into further dominance of the SEA competitive scene. Clearly the best Protoss in the region he suffers from tilt and dropping maps to players he shouldn't. His predictable play has expanded a bit over the last few months and is certainly a strong competitive force.
6) PiG - PiG is someone any of the top 5 should fear. He has it in him to really push the top three. However, inconsistency and a lack of top finishes while the others within the top 5 have held a bit more consistency. I feel given a smoother schedule and some solid practice PiG has the potential to push back into the top 3.
7) DemiLove - Demi has been so close to breaking into the top 5 for quite awhile. However, it seems too much dota and not enough SC2 is holding him back from really cementing his place within the top of the SEA scene.
8) Crimson - Uncle Ben has shown the abilities to dance with the top of the scene, experienced and seasoned vet of the scene. He has always shown solid mechanical skill. However due to his busy schedule and some tough internet issues he's not yet been able to take a firm hold on the top 5 rankings. Still able to beat anyone within the top 3, if everything aligns for him I believe he will able to push into the top of the scene
9) NXZ - Previously a top 3 player. Seems to have really taken a step back from the competitive scene.. If he refocuses on SC2 and works hard he certainly has the ability to retake a top spot. With some very uncharacteristic losses to players I feel he should beat, NXZ has slipped to 9th in the ranks.
10) Azure - Azure just sneaks out against those outside the top 10 due to more recent performances and some other top 10 scalps. He has shown strong mechanics and potential to improve but seems to be in a bit of a plateau with his skill of late.
Close to the top 10 (in no particular order): Pox, Wally, Yours, PsiArc....
Players to watch (up coming): Sparrow - super impressive run through WCS. While he should belong in the top 10, I feel without consistency its hard to place him just yet.
Rize - working hard and technically solid. Protoss hope of the future
Myuu - The gosu is back and shaking off the rust. Super solid player looking strong already.
These are just my 2c based on how I feel these guys are performing currently. Disagree with me if you like, but hows your SEABet ranking?
