So, I've not really run afoul of BM in Starcraft up until this point. It's a little bit of a surprise because I hear about it and I also play , which gets people's goats to begin with. Anyway, here was a little exchange I had with another player.
To set the scene, we've completed our match, which I lost (crazy 2-rax 4-bunker contain which I couldn't break), where throughout the game he has not said boo. I gg'ed and gave him enough time to gg if he was going to then left. I alt-tabbed out and then back in a couple of minutes later with a chat message from the guy I'd just lost to.
The following is the exchange. In the end I get a little bit sarcastic at him and at that point I couldn't tell who's trolling who anymore.
What BM situations have you had where you can't quite work out whether the guy is genuinely trying to stoke his ego, trolling for a reaction or just plain dumb?
Feel free to suggest things I could have done to break the contain as well. The replay can be grabbed from ggtracker here.
I've seen the replay. Noobs with an ego are just trash. You actually dont even have to break the bunker wall, all you need to do is set your spines to defend the ramp with a creep tumour and just go 1 base roach ling and nydus into his main (if he's bad)/natural and wreck him
He might just be sour and wanting to vent it out on someone... might be you were his first win that evening after a stream of losses. There are several types of 'bm' people out there. Dont let them affect you and maybe zone out, block him if needed and just go on being a happy bugz

Haha Nem, I'm still a happy Bugs. Just seemed really weird the way he went about it. And when I started being sarcastic about how good he was it was hard to tell if he thought I was being genuine.
