I got home this lovely evening ready to ladder on Sc2 and practise a few builds, only to be greeted by this error box after the "update installer" or whatever seemingly stopped;
The program or feature "/??/C:/ProgramData/Battle.net/Client/BlizzardLauncher.1992.Blizzard Launcher.exe" cannnot start or run due to incompatability with 64-bit version of Windows. Please contact the software vendor to ask if a 64-bit Windows compatible version is available.
Now, i'm running the Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit OS.
I don't think i'm able to reformat it either as..yes..I got the OS from a random disc from a friend.
It isn't a crappy dodgy copy or anything though!
If ANYONE can offer ANY assistance I will personally deliver you a cheeseburger from McD's whenever I meet you at ACL someday.
I get a lot of SC2 errors and I assume you've already done this, but if you just type the error message into google and look at forums for long enough, the answer usually shows up, often in WoW or D3 forums.
Try deleting (or renaming if you are paranoid) the c:\ProgramData\Battle.net folder.
I uninstalled Sc2 just before you said this, I now can't re-install from a downloaded client setup because i'm faced with the same error even though ProgramData/Battle.net doesn't even exist anymore..
Did you actually go in and delete it? I don't know if uninstalling the client will remove it for you because it is shared by other Blizzard games.
No I don't believe i've deleted it but i'm having a hard time trying to find anything related to it, or even the actual Sc2 Client.
I think it's deleted the whole thing.
3 cheers and 3 cheers and 3 cheers for paperclip ^_^
