Update 4: SC2SEA D3 Orders are now LIVE!!! If you don't have the code yet you can still purchase it from our store. It will be sent to your email/inbox within 5 mins of purchase. Join us on our SC2SEA MUMBLE SERVER
Connecting before 15th May 3pm SGT / 5pm AEST will just give you an error.
You can choose from a variety of languages, and three servers - Asia, USA and Europe.
Update 2: The NA/EU servers are down till the launch time. Attempting to connect will just give you a "server maintenance" error. 15th May 3pm SGT / 5pm AEST is the designated NA server release time. Only Taiwan / Korean registered accounts can connect to the Asian server. Do NOT buy an account in that region because the languages for those specific clients are limited to Traditional Chinese and Korean.
We will be releasing Diablo 3 to everyone who has ordered from us on 15th May 5pm AEST and this will be in line with the official SEA/ANZ launch timings. This is also 15th May 12.01am UST.
So save yourself the rush and squeeze queuing up for hours and all the transportation time by buying it from SC2SEA! Play the game immediately from the comfort of your home when the game goes live.
Update 1: Blizzard has opened up D3 Client installation already worldwide. ANYONE can install the game. You do not need the key yet, just choose "activate later" when they prompt you for your key.
D3 INTERNATIONAL ORDERS ARE IN!
**WHILE STOCKS LAST** 90% SOLD OUT FROM PRE-ORDERS
International users: Your orders are in. Codes will only be sent to all international orders tomorrow (15th May) at 3pm SGT SHARP. Ran into some language compatibility issues with my original Asian supplier at the very last minute but thank god SG has an imba supplier.
Singaporean uers: Your orders are strictly going to be the official boxed SEA edition from the official distributor and that will be ready tomorrow evening and they will be delivered to you, check your PMs.
Thank you to everyone who has been supporting the SC2SEA store
Update: This is not an issue at all. Once you enter the code to activate your game, if you do not have it they will just prompt you to make one before taking you to the confirmation screen.
Avoid the inevitable traffic congestion and create your BattleTag on battle.net now, it is required to play Diablo III. This non-unique nickname is a permanent choice, and will display both in-game and on the website.
This will allow you to begin installing the game, troubleshoot any issues you run into, download and install the launch day 1.0.1 patch, and be ready to play as soon as the servers come online. And if you haven't even downloaded the client yet please do so now!
Your game-client version does not hinder your ability to select which regional game server you can play on. I believe the difference between the NA and and SG versions are the spelling, SG, AU, etc follow the British spelling i.e colour not color.
Global Play will be only turned on when the game has launched in all regions i.e 3pm SGT 5pm AEST on May 15th. This means that you will not be able to play on NA until then. NA is the "home server" of our SC2SEA guild. A client update will be provided once Global Play is enabled, and you’ll then be able to change the region you connect to through the game’s options. Please note that characters, items, and friends lists do not transfer across regions.
Players who use Global Play to connect outside of their home region will only be able to access the gold-based auction house, so make sure you choose the correct "home" region. Players will only have access to the real-money auction house (where applicable) when playing in their "home" game region. That means that, for characters outside of your home region, items cannot be bought or sold in any real-money auction house.
In general, players will create characters and play in their "home" region, which is determined by where they live (specifically, the country of residence registered to their Battle.net account). Source. So if you are for e.g a Norwegian studying in Griffith University in QLD and want to use the AUD currency, your best bet is to make sure your country of residence is set to Australia. And if you can't change it, make a new account and set the country of residence to the country you want.
Still do not have Diablo 3?
Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand users: / /
Users from these countries are strictly only allowed to receive the boxed versions from SC2SEA. This will be delivered according to our supplier's guidelines - on the evening of the 15th of May, Singaporeans check your PM for more details.
International users: Australia / New Zealand / United States etc
Users not from Singapore, Malaysia or Thailand will receive their game sourced from our international supplier and distribution will only be done digitally. These players will get access to their codes by the 15th of May, and timing now looks very likely to be before 3PM SGT.
After about 8 hours of tournament play, the winners were decided.
Big congrats to TSLHyun for coming back from the loser bracket after being knocked down by rainbow 2-1, to take it 4-0. Grats to PiG the top SEA finisher who had close 1-2 games with both Hyun and Rainbow. Many SEA players put on a great show, losing narrowly to the international stars, such as Rev 1-2 qxc, Chobo 1-2 inori, mafia 1-2 inori. Shoutout to Rossi for waking up early even though he had a big night out and only 5 hours of sleep, to play qxc earlier. qxc had an IPL tournament at the standard start time, which he ended up winning. It could be inferred from the results that the standard of SEASL# 2 was higher than that IPL tournament! Thanks to Jazboss for being the sub for TargA and missing his Korean BBQ and to system/zain for the epic 8 hour casting. Replay packs from the top 3 finishers will be uploaded soon.
And of course the biggest shout out to our sponsor Joshua "Soulja" for making this event possible.

Special consideration has been given to qxc who is already in the grand finals of an IPL tournament that starts at the same time and has informed me prior. http://wiki.teamliquid.net/starcraft...Map_Tournament We will try to arrange the qxc vs rossi match to start 1 hour earlier but if thats not possible the lower bracket games might be delayed slightly.

Blizzard World Series Qualifiers being ran in conjunction with ACL Regionals:
The Starcraft II World Championship Series consists of tournaments held in nearly every part of the world, bringing players from all over the globe together to compete for pride, glory and prizes.
Starting with National Qualifiers, players will battle it out for a chance to prove they have what it takes to be the best in the country, and qualify for the Oceanic Finals in their part of the world. Then, the winners of the Oceanic Finals will earn a place to fight in the Starcraft World Championship Series, where they’ll compete for not only prizes, but the title of World Champion.
The Australian Cyber League have been named the Primary Partner of the Australian stage of the Blizzard World Championship Series and as such our Regionals events and ACL Melbourne will be qualifiers for the Nationals event to be held later in the year. The Nationals event (details TBA) will host all the qualified players in a tournament with $6000 in prizes to be given away thanks to Blizzard. On top of that, the top 6 players from the Nationals will be invited to complete for $12000 in cash at the Oceanic finals.
ACL Season Structure:
For those new or unfamiliar to the Australian Cyber League, there are 3 components to our competitions and season, each awarding points for your performance in these events.
- ACL Regionals: As announced, an open invite to compete for season points in each city.
- Online Events: An open invite for all to compete online against players in Australia & NZ.
- National Events: 4 of these in 2012. The next to be shortly announced as ACL Melbourne. These have the biggest attendance & biggest prizes.
How the circuit will work in brief:
You will earn points for every placing you receive within the top 32 at each event you compete in during 2012. Each component of the competition has a varying weighting of points distribution.
The National events for Starcraft 2 are Invite Only for the Pro Bracket. Invitations will be sent out based on your season points and only the top 16 ranked players in Australia by season points will be invited to the most advantageous spot for the Tournament. All other competitors at National events must fight their way through the Open Bracket.
Everyone in most capital cities will have 2 chances to accrue season points before the first national event. 1 x Live Qualifier (ACL Regionals event) and 1 x Online Round before each National event.
In early July, the "Gigabyte Electronic Sports Winter Slam" will begin - a series of tournaments spanning multiple games held over an entire week. Starcraft 2 will be one of the major titles at the event with a total prize pool of over $4,000++ AUD in cash and products. The Gigabyte Slam will be run in partnership with Team Immunity and SC2SEA. SC2SEA will facilitate in the running of the online qualifiers for the event.
The top 3 players of each of the three qualifiers as well as the 5 players with the overall highest points will receive an automatic invitation to the LAN finals @ Melbourne on the 8th of July for the 16 man finals which will run over a single day. The online qualifiers will determine the top 14 players, with two slots for the finals allocated to wild cards from a university tournament. This event will also feature some of Team Immunity's newly recruited shoutcasting team.
This tournament is open to everyone who is a SEA citizen or resident. This is the sponsors request as the finals will be held live in Melbourne and they wish all qualified players to attend the live event. If you are not sure if you are eligible due to your nationality/residency send me a PM.

Each player can play in an unlimited amount of qualifiers. The entrance fees will go towards boosting the total prize pool. Registration will be announced at a later date along with the payment information.
Qualifier 1: 10am AEST Saturday, 26th May Qualifier 2: 10am AEST Saturday, 2nd June Qualifier 3: 10am AEST Saturday, 9th June
LAN Finals: Sunday, 8th July @ Melbourne
The top 3 winners of each qualifier will win an automatic invite to the LAN finals @ Melbourne. The remaining 5 slots will be awarded to the players with the highest points. It is therefore recommended to play in as many qualifiers as possible to increase your chance of qualifying.
This is still subject to change. 1st-3rd placing receives auto qualification and is removed from points pool. They will not be eligible to play in any more qualifiers.

5-8th - 8
9-16th - 4

The loser bracket will either be BO1 (Unlikely) or BO3 (Most likely) depending on the number of players signed up, as we have to keep things manageable so it ends in one day. The Map pool will be announced shortly.
Q: How do I register?
A: Registration is not open yet. This is the announcement thread to give players notice. When the time comes for registration a news post will be made.

I have received word about the Diablo 3 server opening times.
Asian Server (Korea/Taiwan/HongKong/etc) : SGT 0:00 15th May, i.e 14th May Midnight US server open time: SGT 15:00 15th May i.e (UST 0:00 15th May for ).
So it looks like even if we get it on the 15th May our time, we can only play on the Asian server untill the NA server opens the next day. This is because NA is a day behind us. Also, we now have two suppliers, one for Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand users and one for International / all other users.
Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand users: / /
Users from these countries are strictly only allowed to receive the boxed versions. This will be delivered according to our supplier's guidelines - on the evening of the 15th of May, check your PM for more details.
International users: Australia / New Zealand / United States etc
Users not from Singapore, Malaysia or Thailand will receive their game sourced from our international supplier and distribution will only be done digitally. There is a possibility these players can get their codes earlier but only the Asian server would be open at that time.
Download the client in advance so you will be able to play as soon as the servers go live. Run "Diablo III Setup.exe" on 15.05.2012 and the installer will work. If you try to install the game before then you will get an error message saying your game is not able to install yet. Your game-client version does not hinder your ability to select which regional game server you can play on. I believe the difference between the NA and and SG versions are the spelling, SG, AU, etc follow the British spelling i.e colour not color.
